Jumper- Oasis

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is good and has had a good week!
I thought I'd do a quick little post to stay on the radar and to show you a jumper I bought a while back. I'm not really a jumper kind of kid but I loved this as soon as I saw it with the odd stripes and embellished swallows, I thought it was really pretty.
I think this is only the second or third time I have worn it, because I don't think jumpers really suit me but it's nice a cosy for a night in with my sister.
As predicted this week has been pretty long, I have worked loads as well as spending a good day and a half opening all the valentines day cards and gifts I had received on Tuesday... Oh wait....
Anyway, I have Sunday and Monday off so will blog more sensibly then! I also have a few Formsprings I need to do, so if anyone has anything to ask get involved. I've had a lot of questions about my hair, which is kind of funny because I haven't had it done for 8 months and generally look like I've been dragged through a hedge, but it's always lovely to hear from you all.

Hello everyone, I hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

This weekend I went shopping with my friend and then went out last night for one of my friends birthday.

When I was shopping yesterday I put my River Island credit note to good use and purchased the sheer scarf print shirt that I featured in one of last weeks post, I love it. I originally bought it to wear last night but I ended up wearing my slutty leopard dress instead because it was SO cold.

I only really intended on buying something from R.I- because of the credit note and some eyelashes but I also ended up buying this new orange jacket, a spiked bracelet and a black silk kimono (which was £3!! Will show you in another post soon!)

I am literally in love with this jacket, I can't wait to wear it, I think it's going to be one of my summer saviours. I'm not really a pastel fan (sorry S/S 12 fiends) so I'll be wearing brights to dress up my monochrome and denim.

I didn't get 'round to taking any proper pictures of last nights outfit so I thought I'd share with you a few of this weeks instagram pictures instead, which to be fair to gives you a gist of what I wore yesterday day and night and my new top!

I think I have quite a hideous week ahead so I apologise if I don't get 'round to posting again, although I will try.

If not, I hope you all have a wonderful week, oh and have a fabulous valentines day!

I am representing single ladies this year for the first time in a while, so will be doing ZERO other than work (unless Olly Murs comes to Birmingham and sweeps me of my feet!)

Hi Guys! Just a quick mid-week generic snow/outfit post.
This is the outfit I mentioned in the previous post, I thought I'd share it with you now, before it gets too late.
I always dread snow because I don't have appropriate apparel or footwear for that sort of weather, so when the weekends snow arrived I went into panic mode. I guess this outfit isn't particularly practical but it's pretty much as sensible as it gets for me.
The leather panelled leggings are H&M, hunky knit scarf is from New Look and the blazer is River Island.
More importantly, check out my kicks! I bought these a few years ago when I was at University. I went into Foot Asylum, saw them and fell in love. I think they are ridiculous and brilliant at the same time. Although I knew I probably wouldn't wear them, I couldn't leave without them. After about 3 years, the purchase finally paid off!

Hello! This is just a really quick post because my plans to show you what I wore today didn't work out but I'll try and post that in the week, along with new additions.
This is my new Warehouse top. I saw it about a month ago and was really drawn to it, and since then it had played on my mind. Then last week in a morning meeting I was told that we were receiving extra staff discount for warehouse for a short period of time, so I took that as a sign to treat myself!
I haven't really bought anything lately (compared to my normal impulse buying) so it was nice to have a little pay day treat.
I can't wait 'til the weather gets nicer and I can wear it without having to cover it in layers. I have a new clutch which I think it will look sick with too!

Today I returned the embellished shorts I had bought before Christmas for my staff party, because they were so big they looked ridiculous. Surprisingly they gave me a credit note for the full amount I paid,so I didn't have to impulse buy there and then. When I got home I decided to check out their website to see what I could spent the credit note on and found so much hot stuff, so I thought I'd show you my top 10, which then turned into a top 11. I am loving the garish scarf prints at the moment. What do yo lot think of them?

I thought I'd share a few Instagram pictures with you from my past week of being out & about.
I had to get new passport photo's done today so I can get a new staff card as I lost mine when my bag was stolen. I can't say I'm overjoyed with the turnout but they will have to do, as at £5 a pop I'm not up for getting more done!
I also made an effort with my nails this week. I went for leopard print and gold glitter tips, all done myself,then very rapidly smudged by myself about 5 minutes later!
In photo 5 you'll see I'm busting about in Ugg boots. I can't even explain how much I am re-loving my Uggs right now. After a 12+ hour day on my feet getting home and putting these bad boys on is so good. I must add though,these are house shoes, and not for the outside world!

Hello!

Today was a two outfit kinda day... This morning I had to go to The Coroners Court and so needed something a little smart. I went for leather panelled leggings, an over sized white shirt and a trusty tux. The shoes are Office from two summers ago- they were my graduation shoes and are great for when I need a sensible heel, in a not so sensible colour. This was all well and good until IT STARTED TO SNOW!

As soon as I got home I went into Eskimo mode and layered up the fur. It was a fashion over function moment, but here it is.

It's funny, because I wanted to send these boots back, but I haven't taken them off my feet! I'm really glad that they were out of policy because they are so comfy and I love them. I've even been wearing them to work.

In other news I have spent the past hour trying to find the more up-beat version of Beyonce's 'Me, Myself & I' that they used to play on the radio when it was first released. I can't find it ANYWHERE, so if anyone can help me out then that would be super!

Hello guys! So, I had the whole weekend off from work and it has been amaaaaazing. Saturday I went to Birmingham to meet my best friend for some shopping and coffee etc which was nice. I didn't really buy much other than the skull scarf from the Sunday pictures and fags and Starbucks!

Today has been just chilled doing family stuff and went on a mini shopping trip with my sister. I got a new lipstick today. I went to get a new Natural collection one in Crimson which is my ultimate fave but they didn't have it. Instead I bought a Barry M one in number 129- it's a lilac colour which is not really something I've ever fancied but today I was feeling experimental. I have been grungey outfit-wise these weekend so the lipstick has given it a girly touch!

This is me taking it for a spin around the house tonight in my slacks...

I have literally had the weirdest past 10 days possibly ever.

Last week when on my travels I had my bag stolen, which was like my worst nightmare coming true. It was my dalmatian Zara over sized clutch which had my purse (money & cards), keys, phone, fags, make-up.... all in it. meaning I lost EVERYTHING.

I then got moved departments at work which meant I was no longer based on Young Fashion but now Lingerie and also supervising personal shopper, which has been amazing because I have been covering Personal Shopper myself, dealing with clients etc. It is SO much fun. I love it. I wasn't sure about the move at first but now I'm just taking it as a new challenge!

I also had a lovely £204 phone bill, which made me feel sick!! After I got my phone stolen, my Dad took me to get a new one so I now had a iPhone 4s 32GB which is so good because it means I have double the memory I had before, every (i) cloud! ;)

I also wanted use this post to apologise to everyone who has formspringed me over the last year and I haven't got 'round to responding to. There are so many old questions in there that I am just going to write them all off and start again properly and keep on top of them, so if there's anything you want to know/say, click here. I can't always do things straight away because of work/social commitments but I'm going to sortmy shit out and get involved with it more again. Starting from now!

I can't say the contents of my handbag is as exciting as other bloggers that I have seen but here we go. Whats inside can vary from day to day, depending on what I am doing or where I am going but these things are generally involved regardless. First of all: headphones! These are the rhinestone earphones I got for christmas and I looooove them! Having music to listen to is my number one essential for any day because it helps me out in the morning when I'm half asleep and on the train going to work. I travel a lot because I commute and so if ever I forgot these and didn't have music to listen to I think I'd die a little inside.

Next, fags. I take my smoking pretty seriously and generally will be found with 2 or 3 varities of cigarettes on me; menthols, lights and vanilla are currently in my bag. Along with some slims which are really light.

I carry a diary- in all honesty I don't know why. I bought it in the sale, thinking I'd need one. I literally write last minute plans in it and shifts. Haha.

The leopard print key chain and quilted purse are Marc Jacobs. Luckily these two weren't in my bag when it was stolen else it would have been even more horrible than it was!

I don't really carry a lot of make-up with me most days but generally have a mascara, a few lipsticks and my bronzer/mirror. Oh and my carmex, because its the best!

And finally Difflam, because my throat is constantly giving me hassle and it helps to sort it out without having to take any medicine!

So this is just a quick post on my outfit from Sunday. My Dad & I went to the Bullring to get me a new phone- if you follow me on twitter you'll know why, if not a better blog post is coming up over the weekend! I bought these boots a couple of months ago and was going to return them but realised they were out of policy so I thought I'd take them for a spin. They're actually really comfy but they're not a wardobe essential in my opinion, but then again, not much I buy is!

Hi Guys, so I FINALLY managed to get this velvet top that I had been after since August in the Zara sale! While I was in there I also got these sequin ballets that I had my eye on for a few weeks. I literally can't get enough of Zara, it's in a class of it's own in terms of The British high street in my opinion.

In other news, I bought these jazzy pants in the Topshop sale and some Miss KG Rosaline heels in the Shoes Boudoir @ Debenhams sale. They were £75 down to £35. SB is located on the floor I work on and so I walk past it every day and had been lusting after these shoes for ages so when they went into the sale I had to. It would have been rude not to. I love the colour and the fabric but I also love the knot- I call them little turbans for my feet.

The jazzy pants are too big but I'm going to get my Step-mom to take them in at the waist for me so they will be a super good fit. I'm going to wear them with my R.I black blazer and a shirt. Not sure where to though...

ALSO! I completely forgot that I hadn't shown you my new glasses. I say 'new', they are about 2 months old now but never-the-less! I'd like to introduce you to my Diors!

It's so nice to be able to see properly from time to time, but I'm still struggling to feel comfortable in the all the time.

Hello everyone, I know it's been an age again, and I am sorry to those who wish to see more from me.
One of my New Years Resolutions to to blog more and so starting from today I shall be putting this into practice!

First of all, a big hello to my new followers :) I hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas period and a great start to the new year!
I shan't bore you all with the list of things Ive done over the past month, and unfortunately due to lack of camera right now I don't really have much to show you on the outfit front, but I did make a little collage of things I received for Christmas, which I intended on sharing with you last week but was unable to do so.

This year I didn't really ask for clothes as I buy my own all the time and so wanted things that I don't really buy for myself. Over all, it was a good turn out! What lovely things did you guys get?

Hello December!

Hello everyone! I'm baaaaack. If you hadn't noticed I lost my domain and so when you clicked to visit my blog you actually ended up on a crazy travel and food website or something (cue mini breakdown). Very stressful, however, it's all sorted and I'm back. December has already been pretty eventful for me with work, the Clothes Chow and my works Christmas party and we're only 5 days in, so I thought I'd just show you a few pictures from what I've been doing!

The Clothes Show

On Friday I took my sister to the opening day of The Clothes Show Live in Birmingham. I have been going since I was 11 so I figured it's about time I get her involved with the event. We saw Alexandra Burke live- which was one of the most hideous moments of my life, however that was soon soothed by the fact I was standing right by George Lamb (oooousss). The event itself was pretty same old- same shitty clothes but I do love the beauty stuff. I stocked up on some jelly Pong-Pong make-up which I got for a joke price (shall post about this maybe tomorrow), Bourjois and Barry- M. I also got two over sized metallic tops for just throwing on. Here is what we wore!

Darcy is wearing Topshop jacket, New Look dress, Chanel 2.55 and Red Herring brogues.
I am wearing River Island tux, Warehouse jersey, Topshop faux leather pants, Moschino bag & Chanel ballets.

Christmas Party

Last night was my works Christmas party which was in Birmingham. Plans were made super last minute to go but it was so much fun. I hadn't been out since June and so it was nice to get my tan on and have a dance.

I am wearing a River Island tux, playsuit and ankle boots and a Zara clutch.

Today I mooched around Birmingham and went to The Bullring & Mailbox hideously hungover. It was nice to see a different side of the city though, from the hustle and bustle of the Bullring which I work in every day. The Bull is also currently wearing a grey knitted thermal number which is pretty hot.

Sunday stuff.

Good afternoon! Unexpectedly had today off so went into town this morning to sort out my new glasses. I'm very excited about them. If you follow me on twitter you may have seen me tweet about them a few weeks ago. I said something along the lines of 'I have fallen in love with some glasses, they are Dior and I need them in my life'. Well, they are mine and arriving tomorrow. YES!

Today I am wearing F21 jumper, River Island pull-ons, Dune ankle boots, New Look coat and a Zara handbag. The lipstick is Natural Collection from Boots in 'Crimson'. My sister bought it me the other day and it's the best lipstick I have. She also bought me a pale pink shade which is also incredible. They are only £1.99 and in my opinion better than all my others which include Dior, Lauder and Revlon that are five times (+) the price.

Also, I forgot to show you my new mittens that my Mom bought me last week! They are so thick and fleece lined so my hands will be super toastie when I'm going to and from work in the freezing cold!

Also, talking of perks, this week in work has been a mega event meaning there are big discounts throughout the store, including fragrance and cosmetics, which I then get staff discount on top of!
This week I have mainly been buying Christmas presents, but I did stock up on my favourite foundation; Estee Lauder 'Double Wear'. I asked my followers on twitter advice on the best foundation and so many people told m to try this one. Now I have, I never intend on owning any other foundation again.

I buy both 'Sand' and 'Tawny' so I have one for when I'm pale (Sand) and one for when I'm tanned (Tawny) and when I'm in between I mix the two accordingly to get a suitable colour. At £26.50 this foundation is quite expensive but it is one of the best things I have ever spent money on. Working long hours and being lazy on my break I never re-apply my make-up in the day, but with this foundation I don't have to anyway. I use 17 Photo Flawless Primer (£4.99 from Boots) and apply with a Sephora foundation brush and then off I go. If you are looking to try and new foundation I DEFINITELY recommend you go for this one. And if you do, let me know how you get on with it!

I also bought these H.O.H tights, which I have wanted for well over a year and never bothered to actually buy. My tights are usually about £4 form Asda and so £12 for a pair that I'm probably going to put a hole in and soon as I go to the toilet always held me back, but they were £7.20 after all discounts so I bought them. God knows when I'll wear them though!

They seem to be pretty popular again right now with the likes of Jessie J and Rhianna wearing them out and about! I think it'll wear mine with my monochrome Tux jacket.

This is my new over sized coat, that I have wanted for a few weeeeeeks now. Luckily I held off from buying it when I first saw it and managed to get it yesterday for about £18 down from £50. Love it when that happens!

hello everyone! This is just a little quick post to say hiya and to let you know I'm not dead or anything.
I've been working quite a lot and therefore in my free time sleeping (occasionally fully clothed with the lights on...), which means that my outfits have been predominantly uniform and ~~pyjamas~~ pants.
Despite this I have been indulging in a touch of online shopping. I have recently become a 'premier' member on ASOS and I can honestly say it's the best (and most dangerous) £14 I have ever spent. I am terribly impatient, and so online shopping is fine but the wait annoys me, so having free next day delivery for the next year is such a good deal. I have only been a member for a few weeks and I have already got my moneys worth!
Some of my ASOS treats include an Illamasqua nail paint in 'Obsess', a Stila blusher and an Illamasqua concealer. I havent used the concealer yet because I bought a darker shade for when I've got my tan on- which isn't today! The Stila blusher is so bright it's fucking ridiculous and I love it.
I also bought the light tan Chelsea boots but I have sent them back because they didn't quite look right on me, waaaa :(

Here is also a little peak into my (seriously unfinished) new bedroom. Whatcha think of the stag wallpaper?! Everyone I have spoken to seems to think it's hideous but I L.O.V.E it! (just look how excited I am!)

In the pictures I am wearing one of my new pieces from Forever 21, which let me say is becoming my new favourite shop- if you don't have one near you them check out the website, it's massive! I on the other hand work 2 stores down from it, which testing! This dress was £18.75 but I blagged graduate discount so got it for around £16. It was bought with the intentions or being worn for a night out but as I never go out I decided to layer it up for in the day.

The shorts, cardigan and blazer shown above are some more of my recent purchases from River Island. I can't wait to wear them. I have wanted a jacket like this for aaaaaaaaaages! You all know how I bloody love a good blazer.
The glitter loafers are my new Christmas shoes and they are Dune!

My week!

Hello everyone! Despite my best intentions I once again was a bit rubbish and didn’t get around to blogging this week. I’ve been trying to make the most of my weeks holiday, but also I have had my whole room turned upside down due to redesigning it. It is nowhere near finished and I have been STRESSED.OUT. Anyhow! I did take some pictures this week of what I’ve been wearing and buying and doing etc, So I thought I’d just share all this with you in one post!

Monday- I can't remember what I did, but this is a (slightly ridiculous) outfit I was messing about with!

Tuesday- I went to the Bullring with my sister and met an old friend and her new boyfriend. Me and my sister went for tea at Ed's diner in Selfridges which opened earlier this week. It's really cool, reasonably priced and the food is quality. If you are from around here or are going to Birmingham, I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you're into American stuff and the diners over there.

Wednesday- I went into town and saw family. I wore my new boots, which I LOVE!

That evening I met up with my girls for wine and a naughty McDonalds. I wore my fur to keep be nice and warm whilst hanging out in the outdoor area. (Sorry for the rubbish picture!)

Thursday- I spent most of the day sorting stuff with my room out and caught up with my best friend. I wore my new grey leather trousers which I found for £15 and my new white shirt which was £7, bargain outfit!

Friday- I went here there and everywhere. it was cold but really bright so I took the opportunity to wear my Ray Bans!

These are 2 of my new bargain necklaces, the jewelled one was 3.50 and the stag was 2.50 I think- both from New Look!

When I got home my sister took these..

The turban was £1 from Miss Selfridge. Love love love that colour right now.

Saturday- I went back to the Bullring- and Ed's! (I can't keep away...) but this time with one of my girls, I didnt buy anything, but this is what I wore...

Today I have been to the tip, B&Q and Wickes, so I've been busting about in an outfit I'm not proud of and luckily there is no photographic evidence of!

Today was spent emptying out my bedroom. I am preparing to have it all re-done with wall paper and an actual wardrobe (!) so I am having to get rid of all the shite that I have managed to accumulate in my 22 years on this planet in order for it to be done. Most of my life (hundreds of shoes and magazines) is now piled high in our spare bedroom and so I have only got essentials (kinda..) in my room at the moment. When I had finished it looked really bare and depressing so I moved some bits around and filled up the empty shelves with what usually lives on the floor. This is what I looks like now...

I love that in my list of 'essentials' I have included leopard print boots that I can't even walk in. I just can't bear to put them in a box. It would be shoe cruelty.

After slaving away for hours I decided to actually wash and get dressed. Here I am wearing a H&M jumper from last year, Topshop 7/8ths, New Look socks & Next sandals.

After parading about my bedroom for a while I decided to walk to the retail park so I swapped the sock/sandal ensemble for a more practical dalmatian slipper.

Ps. Last night my Mom gave me some Estee Lauder make-up that she had got in her big make up hamper last Christmas. The Lipstick is 'Fig' and the eyeliner is 'smudgy black'. I really like the eyeliner, is goes on really well and seems to last ok. The lipstick in my opinion smells funny but the colour is kinda cool. (I know what you guys are thinking, I should be a beauty blogger shouldn't I with detailed reviews this this.) ha!

Yesterday I met one of my girls for coffee and a scoot about town. I didnt wear the hat in the end because Stafford isnt ready for a hat. Stafford is a town where you wear a bright colour or a print and you get looked at like you are wearing a scuba diving suit or something. Something I wasn't in the mood for. Nor was my inner peacock.

Here I am wearing a New Look blazer, Forever 21 jumper, New Look scarf & jeans and Dune boots.

I nipped into Topshop to check out the sale and ended up leaving with 2 pairs of jeans; 1 pair of black 7/8ths and 1 pair of high waisted skinny Jamies. Both pairs for under the price of what you'd normally pay for one. I only ever wear my New Look skinnys- as you know, so I am looking forward to busting something different.

I also got a big jumper for the winter and some earrings, both which you can see here:

On top of the sale prices I managed to get another 10% off my things because there was a cardholders event which I was pretty pleased with. I opened a Topshop account when I graduated because I wanted the discount and was upset I no longer had a valid student card. I don't use it much but it's clearly good to have just in case!

Also from Topshop earlier this week I picked up this clutch:

I'd had my eye on it for a few weeks, i LOVE this colour at the moment and wanted something to add a bit of colour to my outfits when I wear my leopard fur coat, I think I does the job!

I'm off work this week so I'm going to try and blog a lot more than in usual working weeks (which is nothing). I also intend on catching up on TOWIE and starting some Christmas shopping!

I'll let you know how I get on, but my guess is that I buy more for myself than anyone else.

Hello everyone, this is just a quick post to show you what I wore today, and to show you a few of this weeks purchases! The boots and blazer from these pictures are from the last post where I showed you what I'd got in the sales/with student discount.

This boots are currently KILLING my feet, but I intend to prosper on until they hurt no more! They were quite tight when I bought them but they size bigger made me look like I had flippers. I figured as they are real leather they will give a little and stretch to my feet. BUT THEY NEED TO HURRY UP WITH THAT.

If anyone follows me on twitter they may have noticed I havent had the best of weeks- (sorry for moaning!), so to cheer myself up a little, I made a few more sale purchases!

What I've been buying.

Hello everyone, sorry I've been a bit rubbish again. I've been mainly working and messing about, so I thought I'd do a quick post on what I've been purchasing as of late, as I always seem to find myself shopping.

Today I went to the Bullring for a bit of shopping with the boyf, aka making the most of his student card whilst a lot of the big high street stores currently have 10-20% off, including Topshop, New Look, Warehouse and F21! Anyone who follows me on TWITTER may have already seen some of todays beauties!

I wasn't looking forward to Autumn/Winter in the slightest until a few weeks ago when I saw all of the fantastic prints, colours and textures coming in (& starting mulling over what I'd like for Christmas...), but now I don't think I could be more excited.

Big must haves on my list were some new ankle boots, just like everyone else's! However I have struggled to find any that I really like/aren't the price of a small house/in stock, but today I finally purchased Dunes 'Rome' boots, which I have been eyeing up for about a week in work. I liked them so much in fact, I bought both colours so now I'm officially sorted! Hurrah.

What have you guys all been buying? I always love to see what people have been spending their pennies on and how they are wearing it so link me up!

I would go into detail about all of the recent purchases Ive made but it would be hideously boring for both myself and you guys, so I'll leave it at just the pictures!

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been a bit of a no-show lately. I have been ill/working and then spent the past few days in Barca with my girls.
Here are a few of my favourite photographs from the trip, as well as a few things I picked up whilst I was there. Hope you like!

What I have been buying & wearing....

The majority of the items you can see here are new. For some reason I have been going pretty wild with the shopping lately. Maybe it's because I don't like my job, or because I'm poorly, or because I'm excited for my holiday or because a new season is coming up or because I'm sad the sun has disappeared or maybe just because I have a shopping problem, or perhaps, all of the above. In my defence not one item of all my new contributions have actually been over £35, which I think is pretty good going!

The yellow shirt is from New Look and I LOVE it. I love the hidden buttons and the sharp colour and the colour is perrrrrfect for A/W. I got my BF's student discount on it too so it was £13.50!

The black faux leather skirt is River Island and was the most expensive purchase at £35. It's such a lovely fit and doesn't have a nasty plastic leather look to it at all. It also comes with the belt but I will be swapping it for my trusty Moschino or my new grey vintage one to jazz it up a bit.

The earrings are Danielle Scutt for Topshop. When her range first launched, I really liked it but not enough to start throwing daft money (in my opinion) at the stuff, but I found the Lipstick earrings in the Bullring store for £4.50 so I bought them.

The cat eye glasses are from Urban Outfitters, they are both ridiculous and fabulous but I've wanted them for ages and I found them in the sale the other day AND used my friends student discount so I managed to get them for £4.50.

The pink knitted kimono style shrug and the leopard pashmina are both from new look. I think I payed about £28 for the 2 after discount. I plan on wearing these to travel in when I go to Barcelona next week because they are really comfy and will keep me warm. I also LOVE the print of the pashmina as it's the closest to the Louis Vuitton one I have ever found and quite frankly it still hurts my little heart that I don't have one.

The black jumper is just a basic from Topshop, but it's a beautiful knit and has great drape. I live in stuff like this so I always like to add to my collection when I see one at a good price- this one was £16.

The feather earrings were £1.50 from Primark. Tbh these were purchased due to spoilt brat syndrome. I saw a girl in work with them and got jealous so I went and bought some too, even though I will probably never wear them, but, maybe I will, so as long as there's a maybe in there, it's fine right.

And finally, my Topshop 'Juggle' heels. Or as I like to call them, DEVIL SHOES. According to reviews on the site they are comfy due to their mid heel and soft suede, well let me tell you, they are not! I had liked these for a while and when I had seen them down from £62 to £20 I thought I'd get involved. I have to wear all black to work, so I thought these would be a nice little addition to the work wardrobe and be nice to trot about the shop floor in. However, after the first few hours of wearing them I came to realise they are absolute shits and am now in the process of mentally preparing myself to wear them again, one day. BUT THEY ARE SO FITT. SAD FACE.

The leopard waterfall jersey jacket is also one of my new additions. I got it from Forever 21 for £3.99!

Hello everyone! Missed me? No?... thought not. Well anyway, I'm back, after a month of thinking about posting and then never getting 'round to it.
I'd love to be able to tell you stories of all the fabulous things I've been doing since I've been away but quite frankly, there's not much to tell (however, if you wish to know more about my day to day routines, feel free to follow me on twitter), so instead I'm going to show you what I have been buying and wearing.

Since I last posted, I changed my hair, got new glasses (which I have only worn once) and added to my wardrobe and shoe collection considerably. Aside from these predominantly materialistic and shallow changes, a few major changes/hiccups have taken over the past month of my life but as they are not remotely fashion related, they are boring & don't deserve a spot on here.

First things first, I would like to introduce you to the new loves of my life. My sexy day wedges...

I found these beauties a couple of weeks ago in the River Island sale, they were £20 down from £50 & I have been wearing them almost non-stop.

Whilst we are on the subject of shoes, I'll show you my other new additions to the family.

F+F @ Tesco- £2.50. I love the Chanel style Camellia on these. They look better on but my tan was too patchy for that amount of foot exposure, so I'll show you another day.

These are what I like to call my Hugh Hefner shoes. aka Topshop studded slippers, aka some of the coolest shoes I think I own. They were a present from my Mom & Step Dad. I've only had them about 3 weeks but they havent taken kindly to the English weather and are looking slightly worse for wear already :(

I bought these beige sandals today in the next sale, they were £18 down from £38, so I figured it'd be rude not to. I think they can carry through the summer into the autumn if I just team them with some chunky socks or something, Sevigny style. (If I'm brave enough).

& Finally, here's a little selection of new little accessory additions. These Parisian style ballets were Topshop, again, I wore them and it rained and they are now fucked. I also got blood on them but that's a different story. The spiked necklace is F21 and the parrot was from New Look sale (£3.50). The leopard bag was what my step mom picked for me from one of her carboot sale trips, I think it was a quid. I'm going to use it as a clutch.

Here's a few new pieces I've bought since Ive been away. Both the trousers were £10 from the New Look sale, the bird print blouse is Jane Norman and the dress is H&M.
I bought the dress for my friend Ali's birthday night out, I just wanted something simple and that I could wear again. Here's a few pictures from the night:

These are my new glasses, they are FCUK & from specsavers. There's not really much more to say about them other than that they make me less blind but make me feel incredibly self conscious.

This is my new bag and I can't even explain how much I love it. Looking at it makes me feel warm inside. It reminds me of something I've lusted over in Elle magazine that has a price tag that's made me want to chose a career that my parents wouldn't be proud of, but this was actually only £19.99, which I think is really good.

Last but not least, here's a few pictures my sister took of me in the garden yesterday modelling some of my new bargains.

That's all from me for now, because 1. I've probably bored you to death as it is and 2. it's 22.09pm and time for me to go to bed (working Sundays takes its toll).

Saturday 16th- Cheshire Oaks

Me and the boyf decided to take a trip to Cheshire Oaks last Saturday for a little adventure/day out. It was a really nice day, although I was disappointed at the stock in the place itself. There was anything particularly good, nor that cheap, in my opinion. Also, there was the most annoying/infuriating woman that worked in 'The Original Penguin' shop, who was (very loudly) ranting about her boyfriend for (wait for it) NOT BUYING HER PRESENTS! Bitch deserves nothing! I hated her. Anyway, back on track...

When I got home, I opened up the April edition of Elle magazine to find a practically identical Cream Leather top from Topshop for £45, I was chuffed!

Charmaines Birthday- What I wore

For my friend Charmaines birthday we went to a really cool American Diner for tea, I had French toast, bacon strips and syrup. By the end of it I was even dipping chips in the syrup. When in Rome...

In the outfit (and the dirty poser) picture I am sporting my new Lipstick. I have been after a nice nude lipstick for a while, but I'm not really one to buy make up. However, on an impromptu shopping trip with my sister in the day, I decided to treat myself to this Revlon badboy. I really like it.

Work Uniform

Over the past couple of weeks I have also started to build up my 'Work wardrobe', so I thought I'd share with you a few things that I have got. I have to wear entirely Jane Norman and the size 6's are rare so I get what I can, when I can! Jane Norman have very recently got new buyers in and are having a bit of an image revamp so next time you're on a shopping trip it's worth popping in to have a look. If you cba, I'll probably do a little post on them pretty soon with my top picks!

Yesterday

Yesterday after work I met up with my best friend for a catch up and a spot of shopping. I wasn't intending on buying anything but I have been after a nice white/cream blazer for a while and when I found this one I thought I'd make the most of her having a student discount card! I'd still got the £50 Topshop voucher my girls had bought me for my birthday (yes that's right, I had it a whole month before I spent it!) so I used that to treat myself. it has two button on the front and the back which I am going to take off because I don't like them- they're ugly and make the jacket look fussy. I'm going to either replace them or leave it bare- probably the latter.

Today

Today I have been having a big spring clean of my room and en suite which included dusting, hoovering, tidying and throwing away a lot of shit. I also packed away some of my fur as I'm hoping I won't need it for a while now! Plus, it's given me more space on my rail for more summery clothes (which I have somehow managed to collect a lot of lately!)
I also had a sort out of some shoes, putting some in boxes and my work flats on my little shoe tree- instead of my being dashed all over the floor like they were before. I'm pretty pleased with how my room looks now (still a lot of shit though, I know!).

Finally, I'm going to wish you all a happy Easter and leave you with this little card that my Nan made for me :)

Karens style is quirky with a slight vintage feel. I think some of her outfits aren't something you should necessarily completely mimic and so here I have picked for you a selection of pieces as opposed to creating exact outfits.

Every piece that I have chosen has a slight quirt to it, whether it be a play with shape, pattern or colour, which I think you should have as a key rule for when working an inspired look.
Check out charity shops and vintage stores for blouses and dress with fun collars and textures and then team it with a simple jacket and some ankle boots, for a perfect take on Karens style.

I've created 3 day looks which I think channel the natural style of both these ladies, all of which include items that are all under £50. However, first of all, here's a few little things to think about when on a budget!

Both these girls staples include good denim- which I'm sure you already have (!) and is a key item in all their day time looks.
Cut up an old pair of jeans to make your own DIY frayed hem shorts- they'll be more personal and will save you money.
Basic vests in white, black and grey are perfect to wear under statement waistcoats/jackets.
Check sites like eBay and charity shops for grunge style tee's and vintage waistcoats for one of a kind items.
Use accessories to give your outfit a grunge edge such as; layered necklaces, wayfarer style sunglasses, bowler hats and fringed/studded bags.

Here I have created 4 different looks;

1. This is a colder weather outfit, that shows how you can wear something quite summery a completely different way to how you normally would. You can also swap the heels for just some black ballet flats for a smart work look.

2. this is a casual day look, with a slightly western spin. The red bag brings out the red n the playsuit and adds a nice colour pop making the outfit a bit more fun.

3. This look is a very laid back sunny day outfit, perfect for a holiday, swap the sandals for a pale heel for a more evening look.

4. This is an evening look, with a really summery vibe. The clutch and shoes are contrasting yet are both in the playsuit. The jacket adds a sharp edge and ties it all together!

Turning 22...

Yesterday I finally turned the big two two, turns out it's not as bad as I thought but I think that the blow was seriously cushioned with all the fabulous things I had and did!
I'm not sure how to really blog about yesterday so I think it's just going to be waffle and pictures!

First part of the day, I woke up at my boyfriends and had some of the morning with him before he went back to uni, he bought me this Moschino bag (I love it so so much!), some Moschino perfume & loads of chocolate (inc a Freddo egg, WITH A FREDDO TOY IN IT!!!).

After that I visited my Nan & Grandad & Uncle, and then went into town with my Mom for a little wander 'round.

What I wore.

When I got back my sister arrived home from school and gave me my cake & presents, including a few pairs of shoes <3

Later that day I went and did more family stuff with my Dad, Step-Mom, Brother, Grandma, Auntie & Cousin, oh, and had more cake. (Got to love candles...!) My Dad bought me a Vintage Moschino belt, A Rocco style bag & a toilet brush (?!!), amongst other bits and bobs!

My little Brother bought me this Ben De Lisi dog lamp- isn't it fun! & My Step-Mom got me these little jewellery drawers.

Finally the day ended with me meeting up with my girls (minus Freya :(- but there in spirit!) at Pizza Express.

Hello! Had another crazy busy week this week so haven't even picked up my laptop! (Prompting the question 'who the fuck is Rebecca Black?!)
Anyway, I've decided to do just a little really quick post today as it is my last day of being 21! I was initially quite scared about turning 22 but now I'm just excited for the presents and birthday events I have, as opposed to thinking about the number. Can't wait to see my girls tomorrow to drink wine & go to Pizza Express <3)

Hello everyone! Long time no post, I know. I’ve been horribly busy with starting work, commuting, 5am starts and catching up on sleep, ad also trying to have a tiny bit of a life! I hope all of you lovely readers are well and haven’t forgotten/given up on me.

My blogging won’t be as frequent from now on because of me having such little free time but I am going to carry on as much as possible, and hopefully it will get better as I begin to adjust to such long days.

Anyway, since ive been gone, and actually, a little bit before I went, I have been up to a few little things that I have documented via photograph, ready to share with you, so here it goes!

My Sisters 12^th party.

A few weeks ago my sister turned 12 and had a little party at Pizza Hut...

...she also got tickets to see Justin Bieber live at the Birmingham NIA so off we went on the 5^th, the opening night of his UK tour. Say what you will about the guy but he was actually so good live! Willow Smith & her brother Jaden also performed that night, along with some lesser known artists, all which were incredible. It was a really good night although my hearing it still in recovery as you can imagine the noise room all the 10year old girls screaming ‘I LOVE YOU JUSTIN’ all night.

What I wore

This isn't the greatest of outfit pictures but I was in a super rush as my Mother & Step father insisted we leave super early to avoid being late (we were there 1 hour and a half early.....)
I went for a kind of colour block outfit which included my lovely red Topshop Blazer, Topshop cape blouse, some River Island pull ons and my purple Office courts.

Miss Guided

All during the last week or so I entered a MissGuided facebook competition, which was being held to celebrate their 2^nd birthday and guess what, I won!

I haven’t really bought anything this week (other than a few steak-bakes & magazines) as I’ve been working and trying to not spend money, however I did buy myself a little treat mid week; a Topshop Lipstick.
As you know, I wanted this anyway after seeing it on their site, so I popped in before work to test it out and I loved it.

I tried to take a picture of me wearing it but it hasn’t come out so great so apologies for that!

Look Number 1. This look is aimed to be for an evening/night out. The navy tank breaks the outfit up and adds a cool hue to the outfit to stop it from looking to burnt. The sandal go perfectly as the stop before the ankle to avoiding cutting them off and making your legs look a funny length.

Look Number 2. This looks is a summers day. The t-bar sandals are great to throw on with these jeans and just a tee.

Look Number 3. Finally this outfit is a simple look that can be worn just for a casual day shopping/college etc. A shell shade top and a printed belt with jazz up your new jeans and just a simple pair of black flats and a biker jacket.

I love this jacket!

Hey, I know a couple of methods that might work for you. Firstly, you can buy shoe stretch spray. It's like an aerosol that you spray on the inside of the shoe and then put your feet into it and the shoe should mould more to the shape of your foot.
Secondly, try using some damp scrunched up newspaper and stuff the shoe tight with it. Leave it over night to dry out and the shoe should stretch as the paper grows whilst drying out.

I'm always trawling the Topshop website pining over different things and today is no different. Topshop.com has some amazing new items added every week, so I thought I'd put together some of my top picks so show you some of the new stock and ways to wear it, S/S '11 stylie!
Now, I know I always use predominantly Topshop items in my 'ways to wear' posts, one reason is purely down to the fact that all items are shown on plain backgrounds which makes it easier to show to you, but another is purely because I think it is ne of the most stylish and influential places on the high street- however, as a result of this, similar stores stock items that are pretty much the same, or inspired by Topshop pieces.
Note: if you ever see an item I show that is from Topshop that you find maybe too expensive or whatever, feel free to get in touch and maybe I can point you in the direction of similar pieces from another store :)

Anyhow, here are my faves right now!

(I know that in the 2nd collection I have used a make-up bag, but due to the style and size, it can quite easily be used as a clutch! ..Something you should bear in mind when bag shopping in other places- it's good to use items for a different purpose than what they are advertised for!)

Hello! So, I finally caved in and treated myself to this snake kimono. I fell in love with it weeks ago and have used it in style posts a few times recently & it is now finally mine! (hurrah). I usually go by the rule, if its there in my size, God wanted me to have it, this was no exception.
I think snake is a print that doesnt date so much- I have a snake Zara skirt that I bought a few years back and still wear it now! PLUS The big CB has used it in the Burberry S/S '11 collection <3

I'm going to wear it in the day with some denim (shorts/jeans and for an evening to jazz up a black ensemble. It also looks cutwe nipped in with a waist cinch, so even though it's quite an obvious piece, I think it can be worn in quite a few different ways!

Here i'm just wearing it with black skinnys & a sheer oversized top.

In other news, today I got to call offering me a job (FINALLY) as a concession supervisor/visual merchandiser in Debenhams, Birmingham, which I'm super excited about! I only had my interview yesterday but the manager said she loved my attitude & fought for me, so by lunch time today it was mine! I start in March, so I'll keep you posted on it! :)

So, for those who follow me on twitter ( link over there <-------) will know that my Dad got me a Virgin box for my bedroom last weekend. It was a long time coming seen as every other room in the house as it apart from the bathroom! I was excited to have the extra channels as well as the radio stations because I was really limited with what I could watch in my room, however, I had no idea I was going to have so much fun with it! I’ve been watching so much stuff on E! It’s my new favourite thing ever! Most of my time has been spent watching the Kardashians. I’d watch a few things with them on other channels but they are on SO much on E! And I LOVE IT!
I am genuinely disappointed that I am not a member of the Kardashian family!

Anyway, since watching it I have become more and more in love with Kourtney (The oldest of the sisters) and her style. For me she is the best dressed of the sisters, so I thought I’d do a little style stealer post on her!

Hi Missy Elz! Can you please recommend a good silver shampoo? I've dyed my hair in the past but am back to blonde now. I use Boots natural camomile shampoo which helps it look blonde but there are still some dull, brassy undertones. Thanks!
I would highly recommend either Pro-Voke ‘Touch of Silver’ (weekly treatment) or Schwarzkopf ‘Touch of Silver’. I get mine from local Chemists and Savers and they are no more than about £3. If your struggling look on eBay (HERE). If your hair isn't overly light, use this one or twice a week, else your hair may go patchy and purple! X

What foundation do you use? x
I use Revlon ‘Custom Creations’ in light, as its dial offers 5 different shades, which is perfect for me as my skin changes shades regularly because of fake tanning, so it saves me having to buy lots of separate ones! X

Ways to wear: A splash of yellow

Ive gone for 3 very different looks here, all for a smart/casual look, as I think this is where this top will work best. I hope you like them!

Outfit 1. This outfit is inspired by the big colour blocking trend that's massive this S/S. I've chosen neutral colours for the outwear, shoes and bag to balance the strong colours of the top and jeans, making it a little more wearable. The blue in the ring just adds a cheeky extra splash of colour!

Outfit 2. For this outfit, I have chosen a colour pop of red to work alongside the yellow, as red and yellow go beautifully together, especially for the upcoming season. I've also gone for a stripe on the jacket as it's another key trend this S/S however I chose monochrome to stop it looking a little too fussy. This outfit could be teamed with a pair of heels for more of an evening look.

Outfit 3. Finally, for this outfit, I went for a really laid back look, perfect for a sunny spring day. Muted tones like the caramel and grey look great with yellow and really tone it down. making it more relaxede. I have chosen a blazer to pull the whole look together and the grey shoes to match the jacket to keep it all balanced. This outfit again could be worn with some red lipstick and heels for a 'drinks with the girls' outfit.

I don’t usually like to go mad with catwalk reports and designer heavy posts but when I saw Burberry's new S/S ’11 collection I felt excited. Usually Spring fills me with dread and shops fill up with florals, washed out denims and hideous browns, it’s all very pretty, but not at all very me. Then came along Christopher Bailey (now there's a man...) and turned it all around, sending model after model out in all my favourites; leathers, studs, snake and leopard print, nudes and my beloved black, with pops of colour via waist cinching belts and clutches.

Not only are they all my favourites, they are all things which I can guarantee we all have at least one of in our wardrobe from previous seasons with a little s/s 11 twist, yes?

To me this collection makes a stand against (being poor and having no money to do a big SS shop) & all the girls who insist of pretty pastels and florals as soon as Mr Sunshine shows it’s face- or as soon as Asda start selling Easter eggs. Burberry has offered us an alternative, a much needed one, as well as inspiring me to go all D.I.Y again and start studding up (watch this space).

Sorry I have been quiet for a couple of days, I've been poorly and so I have spent most of the time sleeping and moping about! 70's is massive right now, from celebrity style to high street, with Topshop even dedicating 2 whole collections to it. It is a look that can be achieved by even the most timid fashionsta, simply by adding a few pieces of jewellery or a scarf or a chunky heel.

Nicole is really into her Kimono style jackets, teamed with a simple white tee, which is so wearable and casual for the day, or can be hotted up for an evening with a heel. In one look you can see she is only in a tee and jeans, yet accessorizes to give it a 70's look. This is ideal if you don't want to go mad and achieve a look that's low key. In this case a large pair of sunglasses and just a plait in your hair will do the trick nicely.

Also included, are some really lovely prints- on blouses and kimonos, that really fit in with the current 70's trend. The beauty of all these tops is that you can dress them up or down.

In the denim section, I have also included a pair of skinny jeans, as not everyone- like myself, like/feel comfortable in flares, regardless of the trends. All of the above tops/shoes/accessories will work just as well with a skinny jean should you opt for them over a flare. This is a look even Nicole goes for from time to time and still pulls of the 70's look beautifully.

As you can see there are so many ways to wear these shorts, whether you're going on a night out or just shopping.

Denim and jersey fabrics dress down the shorts making them perfect for the day, and as you can see they will even work with sneakers (although i threw in a vibrant wedge for you heel lovers).

For an evening look, team with sheer, fluid fabrics and a chunky heel to balance it all out.

Also don't be afraid to layer up with these shorts for the cold weather, a block coloured chunky knit or a good leather jacket and chunky scarf will also look great.

Name change!

Also, since my recent Formspring post HERE! I've had a few of you asking about my name change. I worded it a bit funny, reading it back, so it looked like I changed it myself on a crazy one!
Basically, when I was born I was named Chelsea, but my Uncle kept calling me Chelsea FC so my Mom changed it to Stacie. Then when I was about 7 my Mom got married and so I changed my surname to match my Mom's and Step Dads, because my Mom wanted me to have the same name as them and my (then) future brother or sister. So there you go :)
